MEET GERMANY SUMMIT Berlin 2026 brings the future of the event industry to life at the Urban Venue Hub by CIC Berlin

Memo Media       Mon, Apr 20, 2026

3 Mins

A place that breathes history and writes the future

The centerpiece of the first day is the Urban Venue Hub by CIC Berlin on Lohmühlenstraße. The building, a former chemical plant over 100 years old, now stands as a symbol of transformation. As part of the global Cambridge Innovation Center network, it is not merely an event space, but a highly dynamic ecosystem of startups, deep tech companies, and AI pioneers such as the #ai_berlin hub .

“We are bringing together the innovative strength of CIC Berlin with the MICE expertise of MEET GERMANY,” explains Tanja Schramm , founder of MEET GERMANY. “Here, planners not only experience a location, but also immerse themselves directly in a community that develops solutions for the challenges of tomorrow.”

New Food Experience: Catering as strategic storytelling

A highlight of this year's SUMMITS is the radical redefinition of event catering. In cooperation with Crowdfoods , the Food Embassy , and the Berlin Food Strategy, culinary enjoyment becomes a core element of the event. Participants can expect not a traditional buffet, but a curated food innovation experience .

  • Interactive enjoyment: Partners such as The Taste of Berlin (Holger Linde-Margalit) and Berlin Cuisine focus on hands-on stations and live preparation – from nitro dessert to the burrito station.

  • Start-up Power: Over 20 innovative food start-ups present solutions that can be touched and tasted. Among them are Nosh Bio (koji beef), Pondji (sandwiches), Berlin Farms (microgreens), as well as Berlinoats and Nitro Avenue.

  • Stance & Relevance: Ann-Christin Weber from the Senate Department for Justice and Consumer Protection places the topic of nutrition in its social context: What will sustainable event catering really look like in 2026?

A program that inspires: From masterclasses to the TOUR Green

The SUMMIT offers tailored added value for every target group:

  • FORUM & Dialogue: Moderated by Alexandra Antwi-Boasiako, industry leaders such as Jeannine Koch (media.net), Konstantin Patsalides (MyBLN) and Matthias Leonhardt (Berlin Event Network) discuss the strategic role of encounters in times of AI.

  • Exclusive Masterclasses: Ulf Zinne teaches “PodSelling” for C-level decision-makers, while Stijn Oude Vrielink, Ute Döring and Nhung Nguyen show Locations & Hotels ways to predictable occupancy.

  • TOURS through the region: While the Blue and Red tours on the first day visit Berlin highlights such as the Estrel Berlin , the Wintergarten Varieté , or BeachMitte , the (already fully booked) Green tour leads to Potsdam on the second day. There, stops such as the Kongresshotel Potsdam , the Metropolis Halle , and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Orangerie Palace await .

  • NIGHT: At the Arminius Market Hall, Rock Your Role offers an interactive team experience where music, energy and shared experiences take center stage, creating genuine connections.

Strong partners for a strong network

This complex interplay is made possible by top-notch service providers: Party.Rent Berlin designs the atmosphere and infrastructure, while Straightforward , as personnel coordinator, ensures smooth operations at all interfaces. InvitePeople, Bloxibit, Swoofle, Video.Taxi, Silutions, FastLane, Trust Promotion, Employee Shuttle, Cvent:Prismm, DB, Maritim, and Elbgoods support MEET GERMANY throughout the year.

About MEET GERMANY: MEET GERMANY is the largest B2B network for the MICE and event industry in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). With over 2,600 partners, it offers a platform for exchange, visibility, and guidance.
